This little newborn was such a handsome little guy. He was curious about what was going on during most of his session, but was definitely a laid back fella. His full name is Thomas Brady, but he his parents have decided he will go by his middle name, Brady. As you could potentially suspect from his name, and definitely tell from his newborn photos, someone’s daddy MAY or may not be a BIG fan of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. ;-) I absolutely love when parents choose to incorporate things into their newborn sessions that are incredibly meaningful. OH, I should mention that his sweet mom handmade all of the little newbie outfits that we used during his session! Her future little ladies man modeled everything very nicely for us! Another personal touch that makes his newborn photos even more meaningful. She has made lots of cool things for Brady and his big sister. One day they will be VERY proud to have such a talented mommy! I only wish I had time to teach myself how to crochet…lol…maybe one day!? Mckenzie is ONE • Houston Baby Photography

This photography session is proof that just because everything doesn’t turn out exactly as planned, doesn’t mean it’s going to be anything less than perfect. I’ve photographed this beautiful little lady since she was in her mom’s belly. It seems as if that was WAY back when..lol. I was very excited to also take her One Year Photos when I returned back to Texas last month! Her session was early in the morning, it was chilly outside (for us Texans), and little miss had the sniffles. Not a good day for her. Even though we did her session at her favorite neighborhood park, she just wasn’t feeling it. But we went with it regardless, and I am SO glad that we did! We ultimately had to pull out all the tricks we could to get a sweet smile out of her. She always has been such a serious little lady! Thank goodness momma knows just how to get her baby girl to really giggle! I mean, how precious is her cute little giggle AND her precious little pout?!? I love that we were able to capture each of those expressions! I have no doubt that her mom is going to break these photos out to show off when Mckenzie gets a lot older. Just as she should! ;-)

Say Hello to Little Luna • Anchorage Pet Photographer

I met this little lady’s mom when I photographed the Grand Opening of the Lululemon Showroom here in Anchorage a couple months ago. She and her boyfriend recently brought home this precious puppy pet, and of course that is an amazing reason to take professional photos! We finally found an opportunity to align our schedules, and I scouted a cool/stunning new location just south of Anchorage. I am very glad that Fall was in full swing, and I was able to capture all the gorgeous colors in their session. And SERIOUSLY, could Luna possibly be ANY cuter!? Just look at those big pretty puppy eyes of hers! She was SO cute and curious. For being so young, she did awesome during their pet photo session. I am very excited to share some of their beautiful photos. I’m not going to lie… There were SO many great ones, that I had a really hard time narrowing it down for this blog post! No complaints here, I love having that problem. I am very excited about our session success!! ;-)

The Griffith Family Session • Anchorage Family Photographer

This awesome family just happens to be friends with my little Edible Austin Magazine Cover Model back in Texas! They hadn’t had family photos taken in several years, and I’m glad mom decided that it was time for an update. I was thrilled when they asked if they could have other family members, including their pups join in on the session!! Then, once we decided to do their photo session at their favorite park in Anchorage, I just knew their session was going to be a really good one! The trails, creek and pond were just gorgeous. There even happened to be a perfect little stump that we were able to use also. What a good looking family!! It makes me so happy when things work out so well, and we able to capture lots of beautiful moments. =)

Introducing Novi Snow • Anchorage Newborn Photographer

As I was driving to this newborn session, I started getting abnormally excited. Not only was it my first session here in Anchorage, but as I continued driving further up the mountain side, I came to suspect that it would truly have an authentic “Alaskan” feel to it. I was definitely right about that. At six days young, with her nine pounds of cuteness, Novi (which means “New”) was VERY curious to know what was going on! Luckily mom and dad’s iron stove kept all of us warm and toasty, so she was cozy and calm for her first photo shoot. Her big brother Cooper (a 3 year old handsome Alaskan Malamute/Lab mix) was just as curious, and even more so, protective of his new baby. I can’t even explain the cuteness of these two together cuddled up on an old sheepskin that has been passed down thru her dad’s family. Priceless perfection in her little log cabin nursery! Now they can start a new family tradition and pass their precious photo down WITH the sheepskin. It will be really cool to see the size difference between Cooper and Novi once she gets a little bigger. I have no doubt they will have a blast playing in the snow up in the mountains!

The Thorsson Maternity Session • Anchorage Maternity Photos

This beautiful Momma-to-be and I have a couple mutual friends back in Texas. Once our move to Anchorage was in motion, I was SO excited to hear that she was interested in having maternity and newborn photos taken! With countless beautiful new spots to photograph at, I had such a hard time deciding where to do their session! Though the wind definitely kept us on our toes, I’m very happy with our decision. Big Sister-to-be was such a little ham! She is certainly not a fan of being in front of the camera, but she kept us all cracking up while running circles around mom and dad, and photo bombing their photos! That little lady definitely has a personality, and we’re both eager to meet her little brother sometime soon!! The Cobb Maternity Session • Austin Maternity Photographer

I’ve know Jordan and JD since our college days, and was very excited when they contacted me to take their maternity photos! It was pretty amazing, because you could just see the excitement of the pregnancy pouring out from BOTH of their pores! Jordan was on bed rest during the last half of her pregnancy, so we tried our best to take most of her photos sitting or lying down. With the exception of a few poses, including the colorful “I Love You So Much” mural that she was very passionate about taking (for cute obvious reasons)! There were several great photo spots at their home, my favorite being the cozy/awesome bed swing! I must say that she could potentially be superhuman…in addition to her gorgeous glow, I believe she is the only Mother-to-be that I have photographed that still has amazing stomach definition! It will be pretty cool for her to look back on these photos as a reminder of the drastic changes her body we thru while she was sporting her cute baby bump!

This handsome little guy made his grand entrance to the world early, and mom and dad hadn’t even have the opportunity to set up his newborn photo session. As soon as we could get it scheduled, at eight weeks young, Justin did incredibly well for us! He was such a bright eyed little poser, and even allowed us to take colorful outdoor photos with mom and dad. They are such a beautiful family, and I look forward to seeing him become a handsome little man. With his parents genes that’s clearly a given. Watch out mom and dad!! ;-P

You can check out those photos here if you missed them. She was a bit shy at first… BUT by the end of our session she was little miss chatty! Mckenzie had SO much to tell us about…lol. Mom and dad have such a cute and sassy little ballerina on their hands! I can’t wait to see how her little personality is going to evolve by her one year session!!

After we took lots of cute baby photos… Of course we had to document their cute family in the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets right out in front of their home in Austin!
