This super fun fam calls themselves The Carrier Five. And when I say they’re fun, that’s really an understatement. You can find them at baseball games, soccer games, golf tournaments, cheerleading competitions, family vacations, birthday parties and even doing “market research” for a fun family business in the works. ;-)
I’ve known The Carrier Five since before their start, many, many years ago. And I’m pretty sure they just don’t slow down. Because with three spunky little Loves like these kiddos, of course they’re going to be crazy busy!
It goes without saying that mom and dad are going to have their hands FULL with sassy gals!! It’s clear to see, they were absolute naturals in front of the camera. But not only were they beautiful young ladies, more importantly, they were incredibly polite lil sweethearts. Amen to seeing little humans being raised so well.
I’m so glad they decided on my Premium Photo Collection, because their were sooooo many great photos from their session. So many, I’ll be posting a second blog at a later date, sharing some big news on their behalf. Can we just focus on how cute these two love birds are, in the meantime?!
This session has actually been in the works for many years! Their absolutely STUNNING momma contacted me about photos not too long before I moved away many years ago. We weren’t able to schedule their session then, but I have to say that it was WELL worth the wait!! I’m a firm believer that momma’s need their photos taken more often and the photos below are why!
During their pre session consultation, we chatted about outfits and planned the different photos that were important to them. Because I was already in the area, I even scouted out several locations. The day of their session, the first and thankfully, easiest location was by far the best option. It was the perfect spot for a luscious spring session for The Carrier Five!! I bet you can’t tell we’re actually on a nature trail and disc golf course. ;-)

Working with Erin Greene Designs
PortraitsThis beautiful lady is Erin Greene. If you are looking for a fantastic interior designer in the San Francisco area, look no further than Erin Greene Designs. I connected with her shortly after moving to the area and am so glad I did. Little did either of us realize how much we would have in common before working together. Quality over quantity. Work hard play hard. Self care is non-negotiable. Positive vibes only. Healthy, living simply. Love and kindness to all. So many of the ways!
Though it may not be the most important, one of my favorites, is that we’re both huge fans of supporting and working with other creative, hardworking mompreaneaurs whenever possible. She even prides herself in finding and featuring local artists in her design work. You should really take a moment to check out Katie Gong’s gorgeous woodwork shown in the photos below!
Not only is she prompt, kind, passionate, detailed and has all the important characteristics of being a great small business owner.
This gal has an EYE for design!!
I had the opportunity to work with her on two different projects while living in the San Francisco area and I absolutely LOVED them both. Her vision is analogous to luxury meets modern minimalistic, with a splash of vivid color and a twist of airy organic vibes. Absolutely my jam.
If you are a fun, creative, momma looking to document your upcoming motherhood moments OR your passion put to work in the Austin area, please get in touch with Chasity now.
We would absolutely love to work with you also!

Austin Maternity Photographer | Engler Maternity Session
Kids, MaternityThe first time I met this sweet momma, I knew she was just as beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside. We met at my first Burlingame Mother’s event back in 2018. Moving to a new city, I was eager to connect with other moms. Spoiler alert – I was right. In addition to learning she was an all around awesome person, I also discovered what a talented musician she was! I love learning fun things about the different families I work with.
We did their maternity session at Mills Canyon Nature Preserve in May of 2019. Wow, that seems like a lifetime ago. Regardless, I’m excited to finally share some of our favorite photos! Big Sister was such a DOLL. I’m honored to have documented this special time for their growing family!
Chasity Noel is an Austin maternity photographer and also specializes in newborn, baby, and family photography. If you love these photos and are looking for an Austin maternity photographer, she would love to document your growing belly! To set your session up for success, we plan all aspects of your session during your pre-session consultation. From first hello to final artwork, we are confident you won’t be disappointed.

Austin Portrait Photographer | Unapologetic
Portraits, Seniors
This spunky young girl is completely unapologetic. I’m interrupting my usual blog jam, sharing cute babies and families, to share something a bit different today. And just like Renee here, I’m apologetic for doing so. Her senior photo session pushed both of us a bit out of our comfort zones and I loved every single second of it.
During her Pre Session Consultation she and her mom had completely different visions for her senior photo session. We sat at a picnic table together outside Radio Coffee in Austin one day, going over allll the things. Renee wanted a super casual urban hipster vibe. Her mom wanted a classic, natural setting. And I had a really good idea of how to bring both their visions to life after our meeting. The consultation also gave me the opportunity to get to know Renee a little bit better before photographing her. She is a little bit shy, but not one bit afraid to speak up for what she really wants. But with that being said, she was kind and flexible enough to accommodate her mom’s wishes also. I’m confident all the mommas out there understand just how that works! ;-)Regardless of what type of photography session I’m doing, my goal is always to document a wide variety of photos for my clients. To capture all the unique details of THEIR story. I would prefer my clients have a dozen+ photos they absolutely LOVE, to showcase proudly all throughout their homes. Rather than eighty+ mediocre images that may sit on a hard drive somewhere.
In their case, I wanted to make sure their were a good variety of photos that they BOTH loved equally. A week or two after their photo session, we met again for their photo reveal. At this point, I apply basic edits to all of the photos in their gallery. We sat down together to review, select and prioritize their favorite images. This process can seem a bit overwhelming. Therefore, I find it’s SO much better to do this in person. Based on details that you prefer, I can help guide you to select the best portrait Collection to showcase your photo session. It’s funny, with the exception of just a few, Renee and her mom actually agreed on almost all the same images!
After their photo reveal, I took the images they chose for their Photo Collection and apply more extensive edits. I love the variety that the two of them agreed on together! In my humble opinion, vivid, color photos are normally life. But for a few of theirs, I just couldn’t resist adding a few with a crisp, clean, black and white edits. It’s something about her mesmerizing eyes! Or maybe that sassy smile we had to work for. ;-)
Either way, she is unapologetic and rocking both.Chasity Noel specializes in documenting all your important motherhood moments. Even if that means taking photos of your big baby starting the first big chapter in their life. When you book your portrait session with Savvy Images, we will also set up a PreSession Consultation to brainstorm and design what fits your unique need/story. Whatever your vision is, Chasity will help set your photos up for success! From first hello to final artwork, we are confident you won’t be disappointed.

A sad goodbye…
Personal, PetsWe said goodbye to our sweet fur grandma Reis. After almost sixteen years, it’s our first National Pet Day without our feisty little fur Lover. I knew it would hurt losing her, but I didn’t realize it would physically hurt. After all we have been through, the day we said goodbye to her a month ago, was my lowest point of all. But the good news, is that she is no longer suffering and I’m convinced that it will only look up from here.
She was my side kick wherever I went. From our bike rides along Lakefront Trail in Chicago. To making loops around White Rock Lake in Dallas. Exploring all around Austin and Texas. To glaciers and fishing on the Kenai River in Alaska. To Big Sur and walks along the beach in Half Moon Bay. And finally to Texas, with countless vacation adventures in between. This fur child traveled like a pro and loved every moment being by her momma’s side.

For weeks, I racked my brain as to how I could honor and celebrate her spunky little life. When I get sad, overwhelmed, bored (anything really), I look back on photos to cheer myself up or pass the time. After our sad goodbye, I looked back over the countless photos I have of her and it came to me last week… everyone should have beautiful photos of their fur children. People usually have professional photos taken of themselves and their children, but why not hang beautiful artwork of their fur babes on the walls also?!
In honor of my first child, Reis, and National Pet Day on April 11th, I am offering Petite Pet Portrait Sessions for the remaining two weekends in April.
Reis was always my test model. Anytime I got a new phone, camera, lens or sometimes even photography props, she was my gal. She alway worked her way into any photo she could (just check out her sisters newborn session here). Even though there is a huge hole in my heart, it makes me happy looking back on all her photos. I have dreaded writing this blog, but I want to make sure other people have the same when their pet’s time comes. It makes perfect sense to relaunching my company here in Austin doing photo sessions in her name.
This morning I had the pleasure of photographing one of my past clients new spunky fur Lover in my brand new outdoor studio. Can we just focus on how PRECIOUS her sweet Emmy is!? Talk about puppy eyes! She had so much energy, loves all the treats, and did awesome for her first modeling session. ;-)
Other animals are most certainly welcome also. Whatever it is that may fill the space in your heart, I would love to photograph your pet. If you are interested in signing your pet up for one of Savvy Images’ limited Fine Art mini sessions, please contact me right away.
Sweet & Sassy River Grace…
Kids, NewbornsSweet and sassy little River is already four and a half years old!! After sharing her families photos on my last blog, I just had to revisit and show off her newborn photos. You can see, she has clearly been a bundle of sunshine since her early days. River was born in Austin, and I lived in Houston at the time. So, I am beyond grateful I had the opportunity to capture all her cuteness.
I didn’t have my typical mobile newborn set up for her session, as I do for most the newborn sessions I do in home, but we made magic regardless. And her incredibly handsome big brother Carter, was SO PROUD to show his new baby off. Though his attention span may have been the length expected of a spunky little man, he was so excited to be a part of sisters first photo shoot.
He even insisted we take a (heart melting) photo of her cute tiny toes!
Watching these two grow up has been so fun. Just as I would have predicted four and a half years ago, their sweet and sassy gal is thoroughly spoiled by her daddy and big brother. In fact, this girl most certainly keeps everyone on their toes with her powerful little personality. Her momma’s heart may be full, but her hands…LOL. Someone may need to send a little help. ;-)

Back in Austin
Families, KidsAfter moving all around and finallyyyy making my way back to Austin, it’s only appropriate that this would be the first family I photograph! One of my very best friends, and as a result, one of Savvy Images’ very first clients. I am beyond blessed to have fun friends who whole heartedly support me and what I love doing!! I’ve photographed their cute family from the announcement of their first little Lover, for their first maternity photo session, as well as both of their newborn sessions (you can check their first one here).
Most anyone could assume that photographing little kids definitely keeps you on your toes. But my favorite thing about it, is bringing out their fun *big* LITTLE personalities. And these two, most certainly have those, without a doubt! LOL
We decided to do their photos at Brushy Creek Park. Being new to the area again, I was a bit nervous photographing them there because I hear it can get extremely busy (and even hostile) in the fall. I was actually friends with the only other photographer we ran into! It was so nice to hug her neck after several years. I look forward to rebuilding my little photography network, as well as my list of photoshoot locations here in Austin.
Can we take a moment to focus on the precious momma’s boy and daddy’s girl photos!?
And of course, we had a capture Mom and Dad putting out the vibe. ;-) I was pumped when even Dad agreed that their photo session was a painless as it could be. I mean… what dad like to get all snazzed up to herd cats (umm, I mean kids) into taking family photos in a perfectly overgrown field?!
The week before their photo session, I helped style their outfits. This is a service I offer all Savvy Images clients during their pre session consultation call. Mom had an idea of what she wanted, including several options to choose from and I helped piece and coordinate it all together. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised how well they unintentionally coordinated with the field we chose! ;-) And the perfect golden hour light, was the icing on their perfect portrait cake.
A great deal of thought and planning goes into a successful family photo session. Therefore, I always provide my families with all the information I can, to set them up for success.
If you know these two well, then you know the sass and silliness I had to embrace. So. Much. Fun. I loved every single moment. I am so excited to reunite with old clients and get back to photographing fun families here in Austin!
If you or anyone you know need professional photos here in Austin, please keep Savvy Images in mind.

Good Bye 2020
PersonalWhat a year! Seriously. Good riddance, sayonara, adios, GOOD BYE. However it’s said best, I’m a bit salty. I can say with confidence that this has been the worst year of my life. My heart has broken so many times. For so many reasons. For so many people. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t endured some form of hardship over the last year. So, so much disappointment. While there’s nothing that could ever ease the blow there, I’m sending huge virtual hugs out to every single one of you!
The statement that sums up our 2020 best, is “WHAT in the world?!” and as far as our thoughts… well, I’ll just leave this visual right here! haha

As my dad always jokes, you have to laugh to keep from crying!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with our story, in February we discovered we had been living in incredibly toxic mold for almost two years. Countess mystery health issues, finally explained. To prioritize our families health, we decided to relocate back to Texas. We’re working with several specialists and healing has been our primary focus since.
While it was an incredibly excruciating year, I still CHOOSE to see the good. It may be much harder to grasp at times, but I’m hopeful. I’ve always been a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and somehow, after everything we’ve been thru, I still do. For us, 2020 was a year full of learning, uncomfortable growth and healing. Though it’s still very much a work in progress, we will have our health and we will recover stronger and more knowledgable than ever.
For a while now, I’ve been doing what I needed to, but I’m eager to start doing more of what I love again! As we rebuild our lives here in Texas, I will also begin to reestablish Savvy Images where it all began ten years ago. I will be looking to work with fun new clients and even collaborate with other professionals. In order to get my creative juices running full speed again, I’m looking forward to sitting up several styled sessions in the coming months. 2020 may have been the worst, but I have high expectations for all the wonderful things to come in 2021!!
I hope each of your new years are filled with love, laughter, joy, good health, prosperity, and an abundance of all the wonderfulness you can possibly handle. If you’re interested in working together or finding out more about Savvy Image’s styled photo shoots, please be sure to subscribe to our mailing list right away.
Introducing Baby Emma…
NewbornsIt was no question, Baby Emma was going to be a stunning little Lady when she finally made her arrival. After taking her mom’s maternity photos on the beach in Half Moon Bay, I knew she would be just as photogenic. And oh the sweet goodness, was she ever! No disappointment there. What a little angel.

As I love (and recommend) doing, we planned her mom’s maternity photo session months in advance, so it goes without saying, we had everything lined up for her newborn session also. Being planned so far in advance, her newborn photo session was much anticipated.

There was no missing this sweet girl’s photo debut, but you can never REALLY plan for all the cuteness when the time actually comes. She was so content. As all my new parents tend to find out, their new little bundle will direct their newborn session. Sweet Emma decided when she was ready, and when she needed a snack break. Easy.

We spent a good amount of time together during their maternity session. I could tell right off, that her dad was such a loving husband and that he was going to be SUCH a good dad. Yep. Emma had her Daddy wrapped around his finger before day one. Boy, is he ever in trouble! She clearly inherited her momma’s lips. Can we just go ahead and imagine she’ll get her dad’s sea blue eyes also! Just woah. What a beautiful, photogenic family!

An incredibly unique detail about Baby Emma is that her dad is from Canada and her mom is from Peru. SO, it was only appropriate their sweet girl should be born on the 4th of July, here in the United States! Of course, we had to capture that in a fun photo. I expect this gal will be doing some traveling in her future! I love incorporating meaningful details like this in each of my families photo sessions.
